Saturated Fats..


A famous saying goes this way:  Everything good in this world is either Fattening, Illegal or Expensive.  This is very true and the reason why Fatty foods are included in the Hate list (albeit being delicious) is because they contain Saturated fats.

In layman’s terms Saturated fats are those avoidable compounds which are retained in our body for bad.  Apart from being the primary cause of obesity, they also lead to a variety of diseases including cardiovascular and some types of cancers.

Saturated fats also increase the amount of bad cholesterol which in turn can lead to narrowing of our arteries which supply blood (Disease called Arteriosclerosis).
  
Saturated fats do not burn off quickly and hence are naturally retained by our body.  More often than not, saturated fats need to be “cleaned” from our body by physical exercising .  Hence people who consume saturated fats without exercising tend to retain them in their body and develop obesity.  A very fewer percentage of population has the metabolism to “clean” these fats without physical exercise.  Although a blessing there are very few lucky ones!

So for the other unfortunate ones, they need to avoid/lessen the intake of products like Ghee,  Cream, butter, cheese , coconut oil,  chocolate and red meat amongst many others.
